The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Pima County, including Tucson, from Saturday evening through Sunday night.

The NWS predicts that the storms could bring heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds.

On Sunday, the front will move into the area, bringing another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms.

The NWS forecasts that the storms will be most likely in the afternoon and evening hours.

The storms could also produce hail and flooding.

On Monday, the storms are expected to move out of the area, and the weather will be mostly sunny with a slight chance of a shower or two.

The NWS advises residents to be prepared for severe weather and to take precautions to stay safe.

  • Do not touch metal objects, such as plumbing or appliances.
  • If you are outside, seek shelter in a sturdy building or vehicle.
  • Avoid driving through flooded areas.
  • If you see a downed power line, stay away from it and call 911.
